Ms. Salerno has over 20 years experience in Life Care Planning and expert testimony, legal nurse consulting, trauma rehabilitation, catastrophic injury management, disability management, hospital bill audits, workers' compensation case management and liability claims reviews.
As the founder and President of M. Salerno & Associates, Inc., Ms. Salerno's focus is on Life Care Planning, Litigation Support Services and Catastrophic Injury Management. She provides litigation support and consultation to both plaintiff and defense attorneys throughout the United States and is well-respected by both the plaintiff and defense bar because of her fair, objective and unbiased approach to Life Care Planning and Long-Term Medical Cost Estimates. She has extensive experience as a testifying expert, both in the preparation of her own Plans and in the critique of other Plans. In addition, she is frequently asked to testify to the Standard of Care in various areas of nursing. As a rehabilitation specialist and catastrophic injury management expert, Ms. Salerno has developed cost–effective strategies to comprehensively capture future medical damages, ensuring that every client is afforded top quality care while promoting independence and self-direction. She has extensive experience in catastrophic cases involving brain injury, spinal cord injury, burns, amputations, multi-system trauma and chronic pain. Additionally, her staff of Certified Life Care Planners has extensive experience preparing and critiquing Life Care Plans and Long-Term Medical Cost Estimates for birth injuries, vaccine injuries, and pediatric injuries.
Ms. Salerno holds six nationally accepted certifications. She lectures on the subjects of traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and catastrophic injury management and Life Care Planning. She is currently working on her PhD in Nursing.
